Our story
Why Neurokin exists
Karina Campos, APN-BC, founded Neurokin in 2023. She has worked in neurology since 2006. In her late 30s, she was diagnosed with ADHD. Both of her sons are AuDHD, and her husband has ADHD. She knows how it feels to wait for someone to take you seriously. In 2026, we left insurance so every patient gets the time this work needs.

- We talk about your history, what's hard right now, and what you hope to learn. You only pay for that visit.
- Your evaluation
- If an evaluation fits, it takes three visits. We listen, we test, and then we explain everything in plain language.
- Ongoing care
- In NJ and NY, we can treat you and prescribe. In DC, FL, and CA, your own doctor can prescribe using our care plan.

Our founder
Founded by a clinician who was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult
Karina Campos, APN-BC, founded Neurokin in 2023. She is a board-certified nurse practitioner with more than 10 years of experience.
Karina was diagnosed with ADHD in her late 30s. She knows what it's like to go years without answers. She built Neurokin to give adults the thoughtful, respectful care she wished she'd had. Everything we do follows that standard.

What is Neurokin?

Who founded Neurokin?
Karina Campos, APN-BC, founded Neurokin in 2023. She has worked in neurology since 2006 and has been a nurse practitioner since 2015.
What does neurodiversity-affirming mean?
It means we see ADHD and autism as differences, not flaws. We look at your strengths and your challenges, and we don't try to make you "normal."
Do you see children or teens?
No. We see adults 18 and older.
Where are you located?
Our office is at 560 Springfield Ave, Suite I, in Westfield, NJ. We also see patients online in NJ, NY, DC, FL, and CA.
Can you prescribe medicine?
Yes, in New Jersey and New York. In DC, Florida, and California, we evaluate you and write your care plan, and your own doctor can prescribe.
Why don't you take insurance?
Insurance pays for short visits. A good adult evaluation takes hours. We left insurance in 2026 so we could take the time this work needs.
Is my information private?
Yes. We follow HIPAA rules. We only share your records with other providers when you give us written permission.
Do you take insurance?
No, we don’t bill insurance. After each visit, we give you a superbill to send to your insurer. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, you may get some money back. HSA and FSA cards work too.
