Karina was diagnosed with ADHD in her late 30s. She knows what it's like to go years without answers. She built Neurokin to give adults the thoughtful, respectful care she wished she'd had. Everything we do follows that standard.

Questions
AuDHD in DC: your questions
Don't see your question? Call (908) 215-2331 or send us your question.
What is AuDHD?
AuDHD is a word many people use when they are both autistic and ADHD. It isn’t a separate diagnosis. It means you meet the criteria for both.
Is the whole evaluation by video?
Yes. All three visits are by video. You need to be in DC at the time of each visit.
I already have one diagnosis. Do I need the full evaluation?
Not always. Bring your records, and we will talk about what makes sense. Sometimes we can focus on the condition that hasn’t been looked at yet.
Can you prescribe medicine in DC?
Not yet. Right now, we prescribe in New Jersey and New York. In DC, your primary care doctor or a local specialist can prescribe, using our written care plan.
What if I’m only ADHD, or only autistic?
That is still a clear answer. We will explain what we found and build your plan around it.
I'm a student in DC. Can you help with school accommodations?
Yes, if you are 18 or older. After your evaluation, you get a written report. Ask us what your school's disability services office needs.
What if I live in Maryland or Virginia but work in DC?
You need to be in DC at the time of each video visit. If you can join from your DC workplace, that works. Call us if you're not sure.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly with us.
Do you take insurance?
No, we don’t bill insurance. After each visit, we give you a superbill to send to your insurer. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, you may get some money back. HSA and FSA cards work too.
How much does an AuDHD evaluation cost?
You pay one visit at a time, on the day of each visit. The price is the same in every state we serve. See our pricing page for current prices.
